I grew up in a small town east of Buffalo, NY. I started piano lessons at 5 years old, at the prompting of my pre-K teacher, who had noticed my unusually high level of interest in the piano they had at the school. When I started third grade I began drum lessons through the school music program. A few years after that, I began taeching myself guitar.

In my junior high years my best friend and I formed our first band, Not For Sale or NFS for short. Rather than playing cover tunes, we played all-original tunes I had composed. Then, in May 1993, I was asked to join a Christian rock band called Disciple not the world-famous group, but a local band that was playing for church youth groups across New York state. Their original keyboard player was stepping down and I had been recommended to them by some mutual acquaintences. This was a big step up, and I played with Disciple for 6 years, until they disbanded in November 1999.

As a high school student I also became interested in recording. I recorded my first full-length album, "Consider This", under the moniker "GGX" in 1995. This was essentially the music from NFS, but I performed all of the parts myself.

As I entered college, I began to learn about digital home recording. Having completed "Consider This" and realizing that I could produce full songs any time I wanted to if I didn't have to pay a studio all the time, the idea of using computers to that end strongly appealed to me. I went all-in, telling my parents I had to get rid of my bed to make room for all my recording gear in my bedroom, and sleeping on a cheap pool floatie on my floor at night.

In 1999 I produced my second full-length album, "Garmonbozia", also under the "GGX" moniker. This was the first album I created using all my own "studio". It was a concept album about breaking up with my first girlfriend, and it was overly melodramatic. But it was a major stepping stone in learning to record my own music.

In 2000 I dropped out of college and started my stint as a long-haul truck driver. I always had a guitar or keybord in the truck with me, and I kept writing music. This lead to the formation of my band Revelation Project in 2001. I recorded the band's self-titled album, and we played out a few times, but my truck driving career made it too difficult to pursue and grow.

I moved to Kansas in the summer of 2007. Family life and a career as a software engineer have been at the forefront. However, I continue to compose music and take a great interest in recording. I have found a niche opening my studio to record clients from time to time, specializing in arranging and recording full instrumentation for song writers that come to me with song ideas and maybe one instrument.

I continue to compose my own music as well -- sometimes for public consumption and sometimes just for my own enjoyment. I recorded my third full-length album, "Portrait of a Zebra", in 2013 -- for the first time releasing an album under my full name. In 2025 I also created a new recording of the old Disciple songs om commemorate the 25th anniversary of the band's final show.
